Sloinneadh Niall Mhurchaidh Neill?, Brogaig
Biography A Nicolson of Brogaig is remembered for his music and imagination. He was Neil Nicolson, or, rather, Nìall Mhurcaidh Néill. He was a brother of the grandmother of Alec 'Bhalots' Macdonald. He was born in 1884 to a musical, artistic family. When he came home he fished and worked the croft. He was well known for his skills in healing sick animals. He was even better known as a bàrd, though. He had been a sailor for most of his life. And when he returned home, he fished and worked the croft until he died at 67 years. Like his father before him, he composed many lovely songs. Only a few have survived.
