Translation the port of Blunden. |
Description Blunden was the German manufacturer of the buggies that were used to transport diatomite from the base of Dun Mór to the port where it was taken away by sea. The buggies ran on over head cables and worked as an 'endless line' where the empty buggies were pulled back to the extraction point by the weight of the laden buggies going downhill. |
